Ustadha Rumaisa

TEACHER, FOUNDER & MENTOR

I am Umm Aicha Rumaisa. I lived and studied in Egypt for 13 years. Alhamdulillah. I completed memorization of the Quran at a young age by the permission of Allah  and have studied as well as memorized some of the recommended books (ie. Thalatul usool, Qawaid Al Arba, Forty Hadeeth, Bulough al-Maram, Bayqoniyah, Touhfatul Atfal, Jazzariyah, and Shatibiyah).

By the blessings and permission of Allah, approximately two years ago, I started my teaching journey in America and have been granted the ability to teach a variety of students of all ages. May Allah grant us all tawfeeq, solely for his sake and pleasure alone. Aameen.

From my passion and experience in of teaching knowledge, Nojoom Islamic Scholars Academy  (NISA) founded in 2019. NISA is a low-income Islamic school who provides home-school education for girls (grades K - 12) and boys (K only).  The children are taught secular education in addition to Quran, Arabic, Tajweed, Fiqh, Islamic Adab and more. Learn more about NISA

My aspiration, in sha Allah, is to teach as many students as I am able seeking the endless rewards of Allah, and I pray that some of my students will continue on in the path of learning and hopefully teaching at the Markaz inshaAllah to spread this knowledge as it should be. Ameen!

Shaykha Shaimaa

Esteemed Teacher

Shaykha Shaimaa is a native Egyptian and resides in Egypt with her family. She holds numerous Ijazaat (Certificates) in Qur’aan and mutoon of the highest degree from esteemed and well respected Suyookh from Al-Azhar Ash-Shareef. Her days and nights have revolved around teaching the Qur’aan for the past 15 years. Her passion, kindness, patience and extensive knowledge reflects in her teaching style. She holds Ijaazah in the highest degree (meaning her position in the ijaazah is closest to the Prophet ﷺ) in the 10 Qira’aat (modes of recitation) of Qur’aan from Shaykh Misbaah, Shaykh Ghilbaan, Shaykh Kawthar, Shaykh Ahmad Mahmood, Shaykha Sami’ah, Shaykha Nadia Khalaaf, and Shaykh Ahmad Askar from Al-Azhar.

Shaykha Shaimaa also holds Ijaazah in Tuhfatul At-Faal, Jazariyyah, Ash-Shatibiyyah, Ad-Durra, Tayyibat An-Nashr, and Al-Qaa’idah An-Nooraniya (Blue Book). Shaykhaa Shaimaa is also the well-respected teacher of Ustaadha Rumaisa. Markaz Jawahir is excited to have her on board!

Ustaadh Mouhammad As-Senegali

Ustaadh Mouhammad was born and raised in Senegal where he memorized The Qur’aan at a young age. He left the shores of Senegal for the deserts of Egypt where he was granted admission to Al-Azhar University. He graduated with a Bachelors in Islamic Education and Philosophy. He also has multiple Ijazaat in different recitations of the Qur’aan. He is a Qur’aan and Arabic teacher for boys and men at Germantown Masjid and Bin Baaz. He offers private classes for studious brothers in the areas of Arabic and the recommended books.

Ustadha Enaas is a native Egyptian teacher who has completed memorization of the Quran 6 years ago in Saudi where she lived and studied for 10 years as well as mastered multiple Tajweed books.

By the permission of Allah, she has dedicated her time and focused her teaching on foreigners of the language to help them correct and perfect their recitation.

Ustadha Marwa is a graduate from Azhar University with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine. During her time of studying medicine, she also memorized the Quran and was granted an Ijaza in both Shoba and Hafs An Asim recitation as well as mastered several Tajweed books.

Ustadha Marwa has also studied many books such as Alfiyyah, Fiqh books , Hadeeth and the Shorooh.
